This event took place in the UCL Cruciform Building Lecture Theatre 1.

Who?

ESR Carlos Ledezma was part of this series of talks organised by UCL Mechanical Engineering. These talks were delivered to an audience of around 80 attendees of ages ranging from 10-70 years.

What?

This showcase was part of the UCL It’s All Academic Festival. The Festival was a celebration of all that is great at UCL, with the campus bursting with free indoor and outdoor events run by staff and students.

It’s All Academic was the global philanthropy and engagement Campaign for UCL and aimed to build a community of friends worldwide.

The Mechanical Engineering Showcase Live! was a fast-paced, entertaining series of back-to-back presentations that showed how mechanical engineering can be used to solve the most relevant problems the world is facing nowadays, from hi-tech healthcare to coffee waste to research in next-generation fuels.

Our ESR Carlos Ledezma gave a five minute talk on how VPH-CaSE is using computational tools to assess the risk of suffering from cardiovascular diseases and design personalised medical devices.
